Game
Version 1
Formation: Students stand in a circle holding hands.
Measure 1: 4 beats – Left foot slide forward, right foot slide to meet the left. Left foot slide forward, pause one beat.
Measure 2: 4 beats – Beat 1: Right foot slide to meet the left, putting weight on the right foot and lifting the left foot off the ground. Beat 2: Swing the left foot backward (bend knee, heel off the ground) and slight hop on the right foot.
Measures 3-8 – Repeat measures 1 & 2.
Measure 9 – Small hop on right foot with left heel touching the ground, then pause 1 beat.
Measure 10 – Small hop on left foot with right heel touching the ground, pause 1 beat.
Measures 11-12 – Hop (left heel down), hop (right heel down), hop (left heel down), pause 1 beat.
Measures 13-14 – Hop (right heel down), hop (left heel down), hop (right heel down), pause 1 beat.
Version 2
Formation: Students stand in a circle with one student (“It #1”) in the middle.
Measures 1-8 – “It #1” skips around inside the circle while other students clap.
Measures 9-13 – “It #1” stops in front of a student (“It #2”), and both do the following steps.
Measure 9 – Small hop on right foot with left heel touching the ground, then pause 1 beat.
Measure 10 – Small hop on left foot with right heel touching the ground, pause 1 beat.
Measures 11-12 – Hop (left heel down), hop (right heel down), hop (left heel down), pause 1 beat.
Measures 13-14 – Hop (right heel down), hop (left heel down), hop (right heel down), pause 1 beat.
“It #2” steps inside the circle. “It #1” puts hands on the waist of “It #2” while both skip around inside the circle while the song begins again.
