One two three four five six sev’n
Where’s my partner? Nine ten ‘lev’n,
Toledo Ohio
That is where you’ll have to go!
Dance / Game
Formation: Students stand in two lines facing each other. One extra player (Rover) stands at one end of the lines holding a broom.
Sing through the song twice:
- 1st time: Students stand in place and clap while the Rover dances back and forth between the two lines.
- 2nd time:
- Measures 1-4 = Students step forward 4, then back 4
- Measures 5-8 = Rover drops the broom and students find and hold hands with a new partner. The person without a partner becomes the new Rover and the dance begins again.
