Lyrics
(Music by J. W. Elliot, 1924, Lyrics by George W. Pennington)
When the snow is on the ground,
Scarlet berries still are found,
Happy winter birds are seen
Among the boughs of evergreen.
When the lake with ice is locked,
When the drifts the path is blocked.
Still the earth is glad, we know,
For brooks are singing ‘neath the snow.
