Little swallow, fly to your nest,
Purple wing, flitting in the twilight.
Little swallow, window are at rest,
Chirp your mate, “Goodnight!”

Qui s’en va? Volez, volez, volez!
L’Hirondelle, Et Sieur Maccanelle
Qui s’en va? Volez!

Circle Game

Formation: Students stand in a circle holding hands. One student is “It” (swallow) who stands outside the circle holding a handkerchief.

Students circle right, and “It” drops the handkerchief behind a student. That student picks up the handkerchief and chases “It” around the circle until “It” reaches the spot where the student had been standing. The student becomes the new “It.”
