Awake Awake

1. In the sunny springtime from their earthly beds,
Violet and snowdrop lift their timid heads.

Refrain
Awake, awake! They have heard the call,
In gladness they obey.
Awake, awake! The spring has come,
And this is Easter Day!

2. From the cozy cradles where they’ve slept and grown
Out into the sunshine butterflies have flown. Refrain

3. Out of tiny houses breaking through the shell,
Little birds are coming, nature’s choir to swell. Refrain
