My Valentine

Lyrics

(Melody by Stephen Chambers, Lyrics by Rose Miles)

The postman came to my great delight
And brought me a valentine big and bright,
All trimmed with posies and dozens of roses
And tied with ribbons of red and white.

Across the top was a climbing vine
And all round the edge there were laces fine,
While fairies playing, on silver wings swaying,
All said to me, “Be my Valentine!”
