Formation: Three Concentric Circles of Students:

• Inner Circles: One couple (or a few couples) stands with partners in a double circle in the center of an outer circle of students.
• Outer Circle: Students stand in a single circle. Optional: they can hold hands and raise them up high.

During the first time through the song, the outer circle stands still (or with hands clasped). The partners in the two inner circles face counterclockwise and hold hands (Partner A holds left hand with Partner B’s right hand.) For each measure, they do the waltz step (step, tap, tap with alternating feet).

• Measure 1 = Look away from each other.
• Measure 2 = Look toward each other.
• Measures 3-12 = Repeat Ms. 1 & 2

Repeat the song. If students in the outer circle are holding hands, they raise their hands high. Partners in the inner circle drop hands. As they continue to perform the waltz steps, Partner A waltzes away from Partner B, while Partner B tries to catch up. Once partners are caught, they both continue the waltz step toward the center of the circle until the song ends.

Choose different partners as the songs start over.
