Hear the merry May bells ring,
Ding ding dong!
Happy is the hour they bring,
Ding ding dong!
Music sounds sweetly,
The moments go fleetly,
So dance your dance lightly
And sing your song brightly!
Hear the jolly minstrels play,
Zim zim zam!
They can drive dull care away,
Zim zim zam!
Let us hear singing,
A merry laugh ringing,
For just to be jolly
Can never be folly!
