Sa gitna ng daan papaga-pagaspas

Nagwas de-ohetes ang palalabasin
Haharap sa altar at mananalamin
At saka lalakad nang pakendeng-kendeng.

English Translation - Butterfly Farm

Butterfly that flutters about
It waves its wings in the middle of the road
Wearing a 9 meter-long rectangular cloth over her skirt
Sleeves, a handspan long
Her skirt that’s shaped like a grand piano
has a train that’s as long as an entire rack of cloth

She has a decorative hairpin — uy!
And even a comb — uy!
She displays her embroidered half-slip
She faces the altar, then looks into her mirror
Then she walks and sways her hips.
