Formation: Students sit in a circle with hands out to the side, palms up. Each person’s right hand is on top of their neighbor’s left hand.

As the song is sung, one person starts by lifting the right hand to the left to clap the right hand of the person on the left. Then, that person does the same. The clap is “passed” around the circle on the steady beat. The last person whose hand is clapped on the number “five” is out.
