I believe the lyrics should be “may angels soar ’round you” since the grammar of the last previous one doesn’t make much sense and this is how my choir does it.
That’s a good option! My source has it this way, but that makes sense also!
I learned it as May angels surround you.
There’s also a secular version of that line, presumably for nonreligious settings.
