Thank you so much for all of your amazing resources. As a second-year music teacher, you have saved my life on several occasions. I wanted to comment that I use the song “Monkey” for kindergarten and first grade rhythmic assessment. I give each student rhythm sticks, and pick one student to be the “monkey.” They all keep the steady beat on the rhythm sticks while singing the song, then the monkey performs a rhythm for the class. The class echoes the rhythm, doing just as the monkey does!
