Ahí viene el agua por la ladera,
Y se me moja mi calavera.
La muerte calaca,
Ni gorda, ni flaca.
La muerte casera,
Pegada con cera.

English Translation - New Year's Eve

There goes the water down the hillside,
And my skull gets wet.
The dead skeleton,
Neither fat nor thin.
The homemade skeleton
Glued with wax.
