de tha to vris, de tha to vris
to dachtilídi pou zitís (repeat last 2 lines)
English Translation – Where is the ring
Where oh where is the ring
Search search, you will not find it
you will not find it, you will not find it
the ring you are calling for
Game
Formation: Students stand in a circle with both hands facing together, fingers pointing toward the center, hands slightly cupped. One leader stands in the middle of the circle with a hidden ring between the palms.
As they sing, the leader goes around in the circle pretending to drop the ring into each person’s hands. Secretly the leader drops the ring into one student’s cupped hands, but continues pretending to drop the ring into everyone’s hands until the end of the song.
At the end of the song, the leader chooses a person to guess who has the ring. If that person guesses correctly, they become the new leader. If not, the first leader continues again.
