Lyrics
(English folk song)
Golden slumbers kiss your eyes,
Smiles away you when you rise.
Sleep, pretty loved ones, do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby,
Lullaby, lullaby, lullaby.

the audio that you provided doesn’t match the notation – this one sounds like it’s in 3/4 instead of 6/8 and it replaces “loved ones” with “darling”
Yes, you will find that is true of folk songs. They belong to the “folk,” so people can change anything about them. 🙂
