Lyrics
(Scottish folk song)
I’m the wee Melodie Man,
The rumpty tumpty toddy man,
I always do the best I can
To follow the wee Melodie Man.
Game
Formation: Students sit in a circle with the Melodie Man in the middle. All students are imitating playing a musical instrument. At any time, the Melodie Man can imitate one of the instruments another student is pantomiming. When that person’s instrument is “taken,” that student needs to imitate a different instrument. If that student can’t think of an instrument to imitate quick enough, that student must become the new Melodie Man.
