Hi! I’m Beth, and I help music educators like you easily create and teach quality music lessons so you can watch your students grow in their love for music. I’m like the teacher in the next classroom who’s always there to help you.

I have spent the last 25 years teaching music to children ages 6 weeks to 6th grade in different settings: public schools, daycare, private piano lessons and an elite children’s chorus. Wherever I go, I like to learn as much as I can and then create templates and “how to” guides to pass on my knowledge in an organized way. That is why I started this blog in 2009, and to my delight, I am able to help more people than I ever thought possible!

  1. Hi Beth I teach Elementary Music in Texas and I love your Blog! It has been super helpful for learning tunes to teach my kids. I wonder if there is a contact page? I was going to send you a thankful email but will leave a comment instead.

    • Danny, oops! I had forgotten to add that! My email is on there now – and thanks for your kind words! 🙂

  2. Hello Beth!
I just graduated with a music education degree this past December. I was hoping to be teaching middle school band, but I got an offer for elementary music. I have NO IDEA where to start. Do you have any tips for designing curriculum and programs?

  3. Hi Beth,
Are all of the songs on this page free for the general public use? AKA, could I find a song I like on this website and use it in my classroom/in my teaching?

  4. This is one of my favorite blogs! You are amazing.

  5. I’m a recently retired general music teacher and continuing performer. I’ve just converted one of my autoharps to a hammered dulcimer mode, removing the shell, bars, spring pegs and springs, and tuning it to pentatonic C. It’s great because I’ve played my harps so much over the years the felts are shot and I can’t afford $150 to replace them just now. I found you while looking for pentatonic songs. You’re a musician and educator after my own heart. Judy D.
